Built by musicians, for musicians
We started Legato because music educators deserve better than spreadsheets, sticky notes, and scattered apps. Here's the story of why and how.
The Origin
Born from real frustration
In 2024, our founder watched music teachers around him struggle with the same problems: scheduling conflicts buried in text threads, late payments tracked on sticky notes, and lesson histories lost in forgotten emails.
He tried every tool on the market — from generic scheduling apps to clunky legacy software built in the 2000s. Nothing felt right. Nothing understood the specific rhythm of running a private music studio.
So he combined his background as a pianist with his software engineering skills and built Legato: a modern, elegant platform designed from day one for music educators. Today, Legato helps teachers reclaim hours every week — time they can spend doing what they love most.
